This seven-story, mixed-use apartment building in Washington DC consisted of new concrete framed slabs (several with substantial cantilevers) atop a mat foundation, one story of underground one-sided walls, columns, shear walls and numerous toppings and parapet walls. Hardesty Concrete also replaced existing slab in the basement of the adjoining building. The site presented many logistical challenges since there are buildings on two sides and 14th Street—a busy urban corridor—in front.
